Past Productions

Here you will soon be able to take a look at 40 years of University Players history with information on each play. Stay tuned, we’re on it!

Nearly all of our posters since 1995 have been designed by Ole Friedrich, a Hamburg-based graphic designer. The intriguing challenge of designing theatre posters is to reduce complex stories to simple images. In graphic design and advertising, by contrast, you typically have to create a complex story for a simple product. The process requires the production team to boil down all the ideas buzzing around into one idea, one image that represents the play. The result should not just be advertising material – but the face of the production. www.friedrich-art.de
